أوقفت لجنة الانضباط في بطولة «جدة 2026» لكرة القدم مساعد مدرب فريق «شرطة» عبدالله البارقي، ومدرب اللياقة زياد العتيبي بعد اجتماع اللجنة الفنية لمخالفتهما أنظمة البطولة، وعلى ضوء ذلك أصدرت لجنة الانضباط قرارين:
1. إيقاف عبدالله البارقي، مساعد مدرب فريق «شرطة» محافظة جدة، 6 مباريات إضافة إلى الإيقاف التلقائي في كافة البطولات والمسابقات بقرار غير قابل للاستئناف، وذلك بعد نزوله لأرضية الملعب عقب نهاية مباراة فريقه ضد فريق «الحرس الوطني» بالقطاع الغربي في منافسات دور الـ8، حيث اتجه لحكام المباراة وقام بالتلفظ عليهم بألفاظ غير لائقة، ليمنحه الحكم البطاقة الحمراء. وقررت اللجنة معاقبته استنادًا إلى تقرير الحكم وبناءً على المادة (47) من لائحة الانضباط.
2. إيقاف زياد العتيبي، مدرب اللياقة في فريق «شرطة» محافظة جدة، مباراة واحدة، إضافة إلى الإيقاف التلقائي في كافة البطولات والمسابقات بقرار غير قابل للاستئناف، بعد قيامه بالنزول لأرضية الملعب والقيام بحركات استفزازية للاعبي فريق «الحرس الوطني» بعد نهاية المباراة، مما كاد أن يتسبب في اشتباك بين اللاعبين، ليقوم الحكم بإبعاده بالبطاقة الحمراء.
يُذكر أن فريق «الشرطة» سيواجه فريق «سلام الجامعة» من جدة ضمن منافسات دور الـ4 للبطولة يوم الجمعة الموافق 27 فبراير على ملعب (رديف الجوهرة) بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية.
The Disciplinary Committee for the "Jeddah 2026" football tournament has suspended the assistant coach of the "Police" team, Abdullah Al-Barqi, and the fitness coach, Ziyad Al-Otaibi, following a meeting of the technical committee for violating the tournament regulations. In light of this, the Disciplinary Committee issued two decisions:
1. Suspension of Abdullah Al-Barqi, assistant coach of the "Police" team in Jeddah, for 6 matches in addition to the automatic suspension in all tournaments and competitions with a decision that is not subject to appeal, after he entered the field following the end of his team's match against the "National Guard" team in the quarter-finals, where he approached the match officials and used inappropriate language towards them, leading the referee to issue him a red card. The committee decided to punish him based on the referee's report and according to Article (47) of the Disciplinary Regulations.
2. Suspension of Ziyad Al-Otaibi, fitness coach of the "Police" team in Jeddah, for one match, in addition to the automatic suspension in all tournaments and competitions with a decision that is not subject to appeal, after he entered the field and made provocative gestures towards the players of the "National Guard" team at the end of the match, which nearly caused a confrontation between the players, prompting the referee to send him off with a red card.
It is worth mentioning that the "Police" team will face the "University of Salam" team from Jeddah in the semi-finals of the tournament on Friday, February 27, at the (Redef Al-Jawhara) stadium in King Abdullah Sports City.
