علقت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية المصرية، على إعلان إسرائيل تعليق ضخ الغاز الطبيعي إلى مصر، بكمية تقدر بنحو 1.1 مليار قدم مكعب يومياً من حقول «تمار» و«ليفياثان» في شرق المتوسط، وذلك استناداً إلى بند «القوة القاهرة» في الاتفاقيات، عقب الضربات العسكرية الأمريكية-الإسرائيلية على أهداف إيرانية صباح اليوم والرد الإيراني المباشر.
وأعلنت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية في مصر متابعتها عن كثب المستجدات الحالية نتيجة الضربات العسكرية الأخيرة الأمريكية الإسرائيلية الإيرانية وما نتج عنها من تداعيات وتوقف إمدادات الغاز من شرق المتوسط عبر الخطوط .
وطمأنت الوزارة المواطنين بوجود تنوع في مصادر الإمداد من الغاز و قدرات بديلة جاهزة، مؤكدة أنها عملت من خلال الإجراءات الاستباقية علي مدار عام 2025 على تأمين قدرات وكميات إضافية من الغاز الطبيعي المسال لفترات ممتدة لتلبية احتياجات قطاع الكهرباء والصناعة والمواطنين.
وأشار البيان إلى أن مصر أمنت كميات كبيرة من الغاز، من خلال تنويع مصادر الإمداد إلى جانب الإنتاج المحلي، والتعاقد على شحنات من الغاز الطبيعي المسال من مصادر متنوعة، وإبرام اتفاقيات طويلة الأجل واتفاقات توريد مع شركات عالمية، فضلًا عن تأسيس وتجهيز بنية تحتية متكاملة لاستقبال الواردات من الغاز المسال، واستقدام وتشغيل سفن التغييز ، بما يمثل دعامة رئيسية للأمن القومي في مجال الطاقة.
وأكدت وزارة البترول أن ذلك يأتي بالتوازي مع مواصلة دعم زيادة الإنتاج المحلي من خلال انتظام سداد مستحقات الشركاء، بما يعزز أنشطة الاستكشاف والإنتاج.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن ما تم تجهيزه من بنية تحتية وسفن تغييز وإمدادات غاز إضافية يأتي ضمن سيناريوهات استباقية متعددة وبديلة، أُعدّت بالتنسيق الدائم والعمل التكاملي مع وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة، بما يضمن الجاهزية الكاملة والقدرة على المناورة وسرعة الاستجابة لأي متغيرات، لتأمين إمدادات الغاز اللازمة لقطاع الكهرباء بالكميات المطلوبة.
وفيما يتعلق بالمنتجات البترولية، أوضحت الوزارة أنها عملت على زيادة الكميات المتاحة وتكوين أرصدة ومخزونات استراتيجية آمنة من البنزين والسولار والبوتاجاز وغيرها من المنتجات، من خلال زيادة الكميات المكررة بمعامل التكرير المصرية لرفع معدلات الإنتاج المحلي، وتنفيذ برامج الصيانة الدورية اللازمة لضمان التشغيل بالكفاءة القصوى.
كما عملت الحكومة المصرية على الاستغلال الأمثل للطاقات التخزينية الكبيرة والبنية الأساسية التي يمتلكها القطاع من مستودعات وصهاريج موزعة جغرافيًا على مستوى الجمهورية، وتكوين أرصدة آمنة من المنتجات المستوردة بما يدعم استقرار السوق المحلي ويضمن توافر الاحتياجات بصورة مستمرة لمواجهة أي طارئ.
The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources commented on Israel's announcement to suspend the flow of natural gas to Egypt, estimated at about 1.1 billion cubic feet per day from the "Tamar" and "Leviathan" fields in the Eastern Mediterranean, based on the "force majeure" clause in the agreements, following the American-Israeli military strikes on Iranian targets this morning and the direct Iranian response.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt announced that it is closely monitoring the current developments resulting from the recent American-Israeli-Iranian military strikes and the repercussions that have led to the halt of gas supplies from the Eastern Mediterranean via the pipelines.
The ministry reassured citizens that there is a diversity in gas supply sources and ready alternative capacities, confirming that it has worked through proactive measures throughout 2025 to secure additional capacities and quantities of liquefied natural gas for extended periods to meet the needs of the electricity sector, industry, and citizens.
The statement indicated that Egypt has secured large quantities of gas by diversifying supply sources alongside local production, contracting for shipments of liquefied natural gas from various sources, and signing long-term agreements and supply contracts with global companies, in addition to establishing and equipping an integrated infrastructure to receive imports of liquefied gas and bringing in and operating regasification ships, which represents a mainstay for national security in the energy sector.
The Ministry of Petroleum confirmed that this comes in parallel with continuing to support the increase of local production through the regular payment of partners' dues, which enhances exploration and production activities.
The ministry clarified that the infrastructure and regasification ships prepared, along with additional gas supplies, are part of multiple and alternative proactive scenarios, prepared in constant coordination and integrated work with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, ensuring full readiness and the ability to maneuver and respond quickly to any changes, to secure the necessary gas supplies for the electricity sector in the required quantities.
Regarding petroleum products, the ministry explained that it has worked to increase the available quantities and build secure strategic reserves of gasoline, diesel, butane, and other products, by increasing the refined quantities at Egyptian refineries to raise local production rates, and implementing necessary periodic maintenance programs to ensure operation at maximum efficiency.
The Egyptian government has also worked on the optimal utilization of the large storage capacities and infrastructure owned by the sector, including warehouses and tanks distributed geographically across the republic, and building secure reserves of imported products to support market stability and ensure continuous availability of needs to face any emergencies.
