في الثامن من مارس، يقف العالم أمام محطة رمزية تستدعي مراجعة مسيرة المرأة في التنمية والعدالة والمشاركة العامة. ويأتي يوم المرأة العالمي هذا العام فيما تعيش المرأة السعودية مرحلة مفصلية من تاريخها المهني والاجتماعي، حيث تحوّل التمكين من شعار إلى واقع ملموس ترعاه الدولة ضمن مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 التي جعلت الاستثمار في الإنسان – رجلاً وامرأة – أساساً للتحوّل الوطني.

شهدت السنوات الأخيرة ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً في مشاركة المرأة السعودية في سوق العمل، متجاوزة مستهدفات مبكرة للرؤية، نتيجة إصلاحات تشريعية وتنظيمية هيأت بيئة أكثر مرونة واستقراراً.

ولم يعد حضور المرأة مقتصراً على المجالات التقليدية؛ فقد دخلت بقوة إلى قطاعات التقنية والذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني، وأسهمت في مشاريع وطنية تقودها جهات مثل الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي، كما برزت في مجالات الطيران والصناعات العسكرية والعمل الدبلوماسي والنيابة العامة. وفي القطاع الأمني، التحقت السعوديات بوظائف ميدانية وإدارية، مؤكّدات كفاءة مهنية وانضباطاً عالياً، أما في الصحة والتعليم، فقد تعزز حضور المرأة في المواقع القيادية، لتشارك في صناعة القرار وإدارة المؤسسات، في انعكاس واضح لتحول ثقافي يرسّخ معيار الكفاءة بوصفه أساس التقدم.

إن ما تحقّق للمرأة السعودية لم يكن خطوة ظرفية، بل نتاج إرادة سياسية واعية تدرك أن التنمية المستدامة لا تكتمل دون مشاركة فاعلة لنصف المجتمع. وفي يوم المرأة العالمي، تبدو التجربة السعودية نموذجاً لتحوّل مدروس يفتح آفاقاً أوسع لمستقبل تتصدر فيه المرأة مواقع التأثير، شريكاً أصيلاً في صياغة الغد الوطني.

On March 8th, the world stands at a symbolic station that calls for a review of women's journey in development, justice, and public participation. This year, International Women's Day comes as Saudi women are experiencing a pivotal phase in their professional and social history, where empowerment has transformed from a slogan into a tangible reality supported by the state as part of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has made investing in people – both men and women – a foundation for national transformation.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the participation of Saudi women in the labor market, surpassing early targets set by the vision, due to legislative and regulatory reforms that have created a more flexible and stable environment.

Women's presence is no longer limited to traditional fields; they have strongly entered sectors such as technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, contributing to national projects led by entities like the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. They have also emerged in fields such as aviation, military industries, diplomatic work, and the public prosecution. In the security sector, Saudi women have joined field and administrative positions, demonstrating professional competence and high discipline. In health and education, women's presence in leadership positions has strengthened, allowing them to participate in decision-making and managing institutions, reflecting a clear cultural shift that establishes the standard of competence as the basis for progress.

What has been achieved for Saudi women is not a temporary step, but rather the result of a conscious political will that recognizes that sustainable development cannot be completed without the active participation of half of society. On International Women's Day, the Saudi experience appears as a model for a deliberate transformation that opens broader horizons for a future in which women occupy influential positions, as authentic partners in shaping the national tomorrow.
