أعلن رئيس الوزراء الأسترالي أنتوني ألبانيز عقد اجتماع عاجل للمجلس الوزاري الوطني غداً؛ لمناقشة تأمين إمدادات الطاقة، في ظل نقص بعض المحروقات، خاصة مادة الديزل، وذلك بهدف تنسيق الجهود بين الولايات والحكومة الاتحادية لمواجهة التحديات الحالية.
وأشار إلى أن نقص إمدادات الطاقة يمثل أزمة عالمية، مؤكداً أن الحكومة تعمل على سد العجز وضمان تلبية احتياجات السوق، مع مواصلة الجهود لتجاوز هذه التحديات خلال الفترة القادمة.
طفرة الطلب
وأوضح ألبانيز إنه سيعقد اجتماعاً افتراضياً للمجلس الوزاري لمعالجة قضايا أمن الوقود التي تواجه أستراليا والعالم، مؤكداً أهمية التنسيق بين مختلف الجهات لضمان استقرار الإمدادات.
وأضاف أن إمدادات الوقود لا تزال مستمرة مع وصول كافة سفن الشحن، إلا أن طفرة الطلب أدت إلى نقص في بعض المناطق، لا سيما الديزل.
ويأتي هذا الارتفاع في ظل استمرار إغلاق مضيق هرمز بشكل كبير، وهو الممر الذي يمر عبره نحو خُمس إمدادات النفط العالمية يوميًا، ما أدى إلى قفزة حادة ليس فقط في أسعار الخام، بل أيضًا في المنتجات النفطية التي يستهلكها الأفراد مباشرة مثل البنزين والديزل ووقود الطائرات.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced an urgent meeting of the National Cabinet tomorrow to discuss securing energy supplies, amid a shortage of certain fuels, especially diesel, with the aim of coordinating efforts between the states and the federal government to address current challenges.
He noted that the energy supply shortage represents a global crisis, emphasizing that the government is working to bridge the gap and ensure market needs are met, while continuing efforts to overcome these challenges in the coming period.
Surge in Demand
Albanese explained that he will hold a virtual meeting of the Cabinet to address fuel security issues facing Australia and the world, stressing the importance of coordination among various parties to ensure supply stability.
He added that fuel supplies are still ongoing with the arrival of all shipping vessels, but the surge in demand has led to shortages in some areas, particularly diesel.
This increase comes amid the continued significant closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which is the passage through which about one-fifth of the world's oil supplies flow daily, resulting in a sharp rise not only in crude prices but also in petroleum products directly consumed by individuals, such as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.
