أحبطت الأجهزة الأمنية الكويتية اليوم (الأربعاء) مخططاً إرهابياً لاستهداف منشآت حيوية، وضبطت 10 من المنتمين لمنظمة حزب الله الإرهابية.

وقالت وزارة الداخلية الكويتية في بيان على حسابها في «إكس»: «جهاز أمن الدولة تمكن من إحباط مخطط لعملية إرهابية كانت تستهدف (منشآت حيوية) في الدولة بعد عمليات رصد وتحريات أمنية مكثفة»، موضحة أنه «تم ضبط (10) مواطنين من جماعة إرهابية تنتمي لمنظمة حزب الله الإرهابية المحظورة قاموا بالتخطيط المسبق والتنسيق مع جهات خارجية، والسعي للتخابر معها بهدف تزويدها بإحداثيات المواقع المستهدفة، بما يشكل تهديداً مباشراً لأمن البلاد».
وأضاف بيان الوزارة «أن التحقيقات بينت أن عناصر الخلية تلقوا تدريبات خارجية في معسكرات تابعة لمنظمة حزب الله الإرهابية، شملت استخدام الأسلحة والتعامل مع طائرات الدرون، في إطار الإعداد لتنفيذ تلك العمليات التخريبية التي تستهدف النيل من سيادة الدولة وزعزعة استقرارها وبث الخوف والرعب في المجتمع، وقد أدلى المتهمون باعترافاتٍ تفصيليةٍ حيال ذلك».
وأكدت الوزارة أنها ستتعامل بأقصى درجات الحزم مع أي شخص يثبت تورطه في المساس بأمن الكويت أو التعاون مع مثل تلك الجماعات الإرهابية، وأنها لن تتردد في توجيه ضربات موجعة لأي تهديد، وأن أمن دولة الكويت وسيادتها مصونة، ورجال الأمن ماضون في تعقب وكشف كل من يقف خلف هذه المخططات الإرهابية، متوعدة باتخاذ أقصى العقوبات والإجراءات القانونية دون تهاون أو استثناء ضد المتورطين.
يذكر أن الكويت كانت قد ضبطت قبل يومين خلية إرهابية تابعة لحزب الله أثناء محاولتها زعزعة الأمن في البلاد وتجنيد أشخاص للانضمام إلى التنظيم الإرهابي. وبحسب بيان وزارة الداخلية فإن الخلية مكونة من 14 مواطناً و2 من الجنسية اللبنانية، كانوا يخططون لاستهداف سيادة الكويت وزعزعة أمنها واستقرارها والسعي إلى نشر الفوضى والإخلال بالنظام العام.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior stated in a post on its account on "X": "The State Security Agency managed to thwart a plot for a terrorist operation that targeted (vital facilities) in the state after intensive security monitoring and investigations," explaining that "10 citizens from a terrorist group affiliated with the banned Hezbollah organization were arrested for pre-planning and coordinating with external entities, and seeking to communicate with them to provide them with coordinates of the targeted sites, which poses a direct threat to the security of the country."
The ministry's statement added, "Investigations revealed that the cell members received external training in camps belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which included the use of weapons and handling drones, as part of the preparation to carry out these sabotage operations aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the state, destabilizing it, and instilling fear and terror in society. The accused provided detailed confessions regarding this."
The ministry confirmed that it will deal with the utmost severity with anyone proven to be involved in undermining the security of Kuwait or cooperating with such terrorist groups, and that it will not hesitate to deliver painful strikes against any threat, emphasizing that the security and sovereignty of the State of Kuwait are protected, and that security personnel will continue to track and uncover all those behind these terrorist plots, vowing to impose the harshest penalties and legal measures without leniency or exception against those involved.
It is worth noting that Kuwait had arrested a Hezbollah-affiliated terrorist cell two days ago while they were attempting to destabilize security in the country and recruit individuals to join the terrorist organization. According to the Ministry of Interior's statement, the cell consisted of 14 citizens and 2 individuals of Lebanese nationality, who were planning to target the sovereignty of Kuwait, destabilize its security and stability, and seek to spread chaos and disrupt public order.
