رُصدت أنثى بالغة من طائر القليعي السيبيري (Saxicola maurus maurus)، خلال عبورها أجواء منطقة الحدود الشمالية ضمن مسارات الهجرة الموسمية، في مشهد يعكس ثراء الحياة الفطرية في المنطقة، ويبرز دورها بوصفها محطة محورية لاستراحة الطيور المهاجرة وتزوّدها بالغذاء خلال رحلاتها الطويلة.

ويُعد هذا الطائر الصغير، المنتمي إلى فصيلة صائدات الذباب، من الأنواع واسعة الانتشار في آسيا، إذ يفضّل البيئات المفتوحة والمراعي العشبية والأراضي شبه الصحراوية. ويتميّز بسلوكه النشط واعتماده على الحشرات كمصدر غذائي رئيس، إضافة إلى قدرته العالية على التكيّف مع البيئات المختلفة أثناء تنقله بين مناطق التكاثر الصيفية ومواطنه الشتوية.

وتبرز منطقة الحدود الشمالية، كإحدى المحطات المهمة على طرق الهجرة، لما تتمتع به من تنوع تضاريسي وموائل طبيعية تشمل السهول الواسعة والروضات الموسمية، مما يجعلها بيئة جاذبة لعدد كبير من الطيور المقيمة والعابرة، ومقصداً لهواة مراقبة الطيور والمهتمين بالحياة الفطرية.

A mature female Siberian stonechat (Saxicola maurus maurus) was spotted while crossing the skies of the Northern Borders region along seasonal migration routes, in a scene that reflects the richness of wildlife in the area and highlights its role as a pivotal stopover for migratory birds, providing them with food during their long journeys.

This small bird, belonging to the flycatcher family, is one of the widely distributed species in Asia, preferring open environments, grassy pastures, and semi-desert lands. It is characterized by its active behavior and reliance on insects as a primary food source, in addition to its high adaptability to different environments while moving between summer breeding areas and winter habitats.
