تعرض منتخبنا الوطني الأول لكرة القدم للخسارة من مضيفه منتخب صربيا بهدفين لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب تي تس سي في مدينة بلغراد الصربية، في ختام معسكر الأخضر في صربيا.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية من المنتخبين وكاد المنتخب الصربي أن يتقدم أولاً لولا تألق الحارس محمد العويس الذي تصدى لرأسية يوفيتش (د: 3)، ورد منتخبنا الوطني بتسجيل الهدف الأول بعد أن استغل المهاجم عبدالله الحمدان خطأ الحارس رايكوفيتش في منتصف ملعب منتخب صربيا ليخطف الحمدان الكرة وينفرد بالمرمى الخالي مسجلاً هدفاً للأخضر السعودي (د: 8)، وانفرد لاعب صربيا بيرمانشيفيتش بالمرمى وسدد كرة أرضية تصدى لها العويس ببراعة، وكاد مروان الصحفي أن يضاعف النتيجة بعد مهارة عالية من سعود عبدالحميد الذي مرر كرة جميلة للمنفرد الصحفي ليسددها الأخير أرضية مرت بجوار القائم.
وفي الشوط الثاني، تغير الأداء لا سيما بعد التبديلات التي أجراها المنتخب الصربي بإشراك بعض العناصر الأساسية ليتمكن من قلب النتيجة.. إذ أحرز مدافع ميلان بافلوفيتش الهدف الأول والتعادل بلعبة مقصية (د: 66)، ومن ثم أضاف البديل ميتروفيتش مهاجم الهلال السابق الهدف الثاني برأسية على يسار العويس (د: 70)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز صربيا بهدفين لهدف.
Our national football team suffered a loss to its host, Serbia, with a score of two to one, in the match held at the TSC Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia, concluding the Green's camp in Serbia.
The match witnessed a strong start from both teams, and the Serbian team nearly took the lead first if it weren't for the brilliance of goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais, who saved Jovic's header (3rd minute). Our national team responded by scoring the first goal after striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Rajkovic in the middle of Serbia's field, allowing Al-Hamdan to seize the ball and break away to an empty net, scoring a goal for the Saudi Green (8th minute). Serbian player Permanshivich broke away towards the goal and shot a low ball that Al-Owais brilliantly saved. Marwan Al-Sahafi almost doubled the score after a high skill move from Saud Abdulhamid, who delivered a beautiful pass to the unmarked Al-Sahafi, but the latter's shot went just past the post.
In the second half, the performance changed, especially after the substitutions made by the Serbian team, bringing in some key players to turn the game around. Milan defender Pavlovic scored the first equalizer with an acrobatic kick (66th minute), and then substitute Mitrovic, the former Al-Hilal striker, added the second goal with a header to the left of Al-Owais (70th minute), ending the match with Serbia winning two to one.
