شهد متنزه بحيرة «جينشا» في مدينة هانغتشو الصينية، مساء السادس من أبريل، لحظات من الذعر بعد سقوط شابة في المياه، بينما كانت على بُعد نحو 10 أمتار من الضفة، وسط محاولات إنقاذ لم تُفلح في الوصول إليها.
وفي لحظة فارقة، بادر الطالب المغربي أيوب فاضل (21 عامًا)، الذي كان يمر بالمكان برفقة أصدقائه، إلى التدخل دون تردد؛ فألقى بمعطفه، وخلع حذاءه، ووضع هاتفه جانبًا، قبل أن يقفز مباشرة في المياه الباردة.
وخلال ثوانٍ، وصل إلى الفتاة، وأمسك بها، وسحبها بثبات حتى أوصلها إلى بر الأمان، في مشهد اختصر المسافة بين الخطر والنجاة.

وفي أول تعليق له، اختصر أيوب دوافعه قائلاً: «تصرفت بدافع الفطرة.. لم أفكر إلا في إنقاذها».

In a pivotal moment, Moroccan student Ayoub Fadel (21 years old), who was passing by with his friends, intervened without hesitation; he threw off his coat, took off his shoes, and set his phone aside before jumping directly into the cold water.
Within seconds, he reached the girl, grabbed her, and pulled her steadily until he brought her to safety, in a scene that bridged the gap between danger and survival.
A Hero Who Leaves Silently
Ayoub did not wait for words of praise; instead, he quietly left the scene after ensuring the girl's safety, content with a simple nod in response to expressions of gratitude, in a gesture that reflected pure human spirit away from the spotlight.
From a Passing Moment to a Public Issue
The scene quickly turned into an inspiring story, as clips of the incident spread across social media platforms in China, accompanied by a widespread question: Who is this young man who risked his life to save a girl he does not know?
As the interaction escalated, the relevant authorities managed to identify Ayoub through surveillance cameras, making him one of the most talked-about names in Chinese media within a few days.
Official and Diplomatic Praise
The impact of the incident did not stop with the public; it extended to official levels as well. The spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, described the incident with a striking phrase:
“A Moroccan student saved a woman and then left quietly… kindness without bounds.”
The Chinese embassy in Morocco also expressed its appreciation, affirming that what Ayoub did “embodies humanity that transcends borders.”
Academic Pride and a Human Message
Hangzhou University of Electric Power and Technology, where Ayoub studies software engineering, celebrated its student, describing his bravery as “silence turning into action,” emphasizing that the world needs similar role models.
In his first comment, Ayoub summarized his motivations by saying: “I acted out of instinct… I thought only of saving her.”
He added that this is not the first time he has experienced a rescue, noting that he learned to swim from a young age in his coastal city in Morocco.
