أصدرت لجنة الأخلاقيات المستقلة التابعة للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» قراراً يقضي بإيقاف الأمين العام السابق لاتحاد غويانا لكرة القدم، إيان ألفيس، عن جميع الأنشطة المرتبطة بكرة القدم لمدة خمس سنوات، بعد ثبوت تورطه في قضايا تحرش جنسي بحق موظفات.
غرامة مالية وعقوبات صارمة
إلى جانب الإيقاف، فرض «فيفا» غرامة مالية على ألفيس بلغت 20 ألف فرنك سويسري (نحو 22 ألف دولار)، بعد إدانته بانتهاك مدونة الأخلاقيات، بما يشمل الإخلال بواجبات المنصب، وإساءة استخدام السلطة، وعدم احترام قواعد حماية السلامة الجسدية والنفسية.
تحقيقات وأدلة متعددة
وأوضح «فيفا» في بيان رسمي أن القرار جاء بعد مراجعة شاملة شملت إفادات خطية من الضحايا، ووثائق مقدمة من اتحاد غويانا لكرة القدم، إضافة إلى مذكرات قدمها ألفيس الذي استقال من منصبه في عام 2024، إلى جانب أدلة أخرى جُمعت خلال التحقيق.
موقف حازم من الفيفا
وأكد الاتحاد الدولي في بيانه: "نتبنى موقفاً صارماً ضد جميع أشكال الإساءة في كرة القدم"، مشيراً إلى أن الحظر دخل حيز التنفيذ اعتباراً من يوم الاثنين، على أن يتم تزويد ألفيس بالتفاصيل الكاملة للحكم خلال 60 يوماً، وفقاً للوائح مدونة الأخلاقيات.
The independent ethics committee of FIFA has issued a decision to suspend the former Secretary General of the Guyana Football Federation, Ian Alves, from all football-related activities for five years, after confirming his involvement in cases of sexual harassment against female employees.
Financial penalty and strict sanctions
In addition to the suspension, FIFA imposed a financial penalty of 20,000 Swiss francs (approximately 22,000 dollars) on Alves after he was found guilty of violating the code of ethics, which includes breaching duties of his position, abusing power, and failing to respect the rules for protecting physical and psychological safety.
Multiple investigations and evidence
FIFA clarified in an official statement that the decision came after a comprehensive review that included written testimonies from the victims, documents submitted by the Guyana Football Federation, as well as memos provided by Alves, who resigned from his position in 2024, along with other evidence gathered during the investigation.
FIFA's firm stance
The international federation confirmed in its statement: "We adopt a strict stance against all forms of abuse in football", noting that the ban took effect as of Monday, and Alves will be provided with the full details of the ruling within 60 days, according to the regulations of the code of ethics.
