في ظل ورود تقارير عن وضع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب خيارات لاستئناف الحرب وكسر جمود المحادثات، كثفت باكستان تحركاتها الدبلوماسية لدعم جهود الوساطة.
ووصل وزير الداخلية الباكستاني محسن نقوي اليوم (الخميس) إلى إيران. وبحسب وكالة «نور نيوز» الإيرانية، فإن نقوي بحث مع نظيره الإيراني إسكندر مؤمني آفاق استئناف محادثات السلام مع الولايات المتحدة.
وأفادت مصادر إيرانية بأن نقوي حمل رسالة مهمة إلى إيران ومنها المساعدة في خفض التوتر ومنع أي تصعيد محتمل، مبينة أن نقوي سيناقش إجراءات بناء الثقة.
وقال مسؤولون إيرانيون إنهم لا يثقون بشكل كامل في الولايات المتحدة، لكنهم لا يؤيدون في الوقت نفسه التخلي الكامل عن مسار الحوار، مؤكدين أن إيران ليست مستعدة لرفع القيود المفروضة على مضيق هرمز رغم مساعي إسلام آباد.
واتهم المسؤولون واشنطن بأنها غير جديرة بالثقة إطلاقاً، ولم تف بإنهاء الحصار البحري المفروض على الموانئ الإيرانية.
ورغم تأكيدات إيرانية أن زيارة نقوي لم يُعلن عنها مسبقاً إلا أن رئيس لجنة الأمن القومي في البرلمان الإيراني إبراهيم عزيزي أكد أن طهران أعدت آلية جديدة لتنظيم حركة الملاحة عبر مضيق هرمز، على طول مسار محدد ستكشف عنه قريباً.
وأشار إلى أن هذه الآلية ستقتصر على السفن التجارية والجهات المتعاونة مع إيران، مبيناً أنه سيتم تحصيل رسوم مقابل الخدمات المتخصصة.

Iranian officials stated that they do not fully trust the United States, but at the same time, they do not support completely abandoning the dialogue track, affirming that Iran is not ready to lift the restrictions imposed on the Strait of Hormuz despite Islamabad's efforts.
The officials accused Washington of being entirely untrustworthy and of failing to end the maritime blockade imposed on Iranian ports.
Despite Iranian assurances that Naqvi's visit was not announced in advance, the head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, Ibrahim Azizi, confirmed that Tehran has prepared a new mechanism to regulate maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, along a specific route that will be revealed soon.
He pointed out that this mechanism will be limited to commercial vessels and entities cooperating with Iran, noting that fees will be collected for specialized services.
