أعربت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية اليوم (الخميس) عن إدانة واستنكار دولة الكويت الشديدين للاعتداءات الإيرانية التي استهدفت أراضي دولة الكويت بالصواريخ والطائرات المسيرة، في تصعيد خطير وانتهاك صارخ لسيادة دولة الكويت وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها، وتهديد مباشر لحياة المدنيين والمنشآت الحيوية.

وقالت الوزارة إن هذا التصعيد «يأتي في وقت تُبذل فيه جهود حثيثة من عدد من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة لخفض التوتر والتهدئة وتجنيب المنطقة مزيداً من التصعيد، الأمر الذي يضاعف من خطورة هذه الاعتداءات، ويقوض المساعي الدبلوماسية الرامية إلى حفظ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي»، مطالبة إيران بـ«الوقف الفوري ودون قيد أو شرط عن هذه الاعتداءات الآثمة، وتحملها المسؤولية الكاملة عن تلك الاعتداءات، لما تمثله من عدوان سافر على سيادة دولة الكويت، وخرق جسيم للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817 لعام 2026».

وشددت الخارجية الكويتية على أن دولة الكويت «تحتفظ بحقها الكامل في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لحفظ أمنها والدفاع عن أراضيها ومنشآتها الحيوية ضد أي عدوان أو تهديد، وذلك استناداً إلى حقها الأصيل في الدفاع عن النفس وفقاً للمادة (51) من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقواعد القانون الدولي».

وكانت وزارة الدفاع الكويتية أعلنت في وقت سابق اليوم أن منظومات الدفاع الجوي تصدت لهجمات صاروخية وطائرات مسيّرة «معادية»، فيما أوضحت رئاسة الأركان الكويتية أن دوي الانفجارات الذي سُمع في بعض المناطق ناتج عن عمليات اعتراض ناجحة للأهداف الجوية.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today (Thursday) Kuwait's strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attacks that targeted the territory of the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, in a serious escalation and a blatant violation of the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the State of Kuwait, posing a direct threat to the lives of civilians and vital installations.

The ministry stated that this escalation "comes at a time when intensive efforts are being made by several brotherly and friendly countries to reduce tensions and calm the situation, and to spare the region further escalation, which amplifies the seriousness of these attacks and undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability," calling on Iran to "immediately and unconditionally cease these heinous attacks and to bear full responsibility for them, as they represent a blatant aggression against the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, and a grave violation of international law and the United Nations Charter and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026."

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry emphasized that the State of Kuwait "retains its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital installations against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law."

Earlier today, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems had intercepted "hostile" missile and drone attacks, while the Kuwaiti General Staff clarified that the sound of explosions heard in some areas was the result of successful interception operations of aerial targets.
