أطاحت فرق رقابية تتبع أمانة جدة بموقع مخالف استُخدم كمسلخ عشوائي داخل أحد الأحواش، في نطاق بلدية أم السلم، كان يُمارس أنشطة غير نظامية تمس الصحة العامة وسلامة الغذاء.

وأظهرت أعمال الرصد والمتابعة أن القائم على الموقع كان يضلل المستهلكين عبر عرض مقاطع مرئية لأغنام ذات جودة مرتفعة وبأسعار أقل من المتعارف عليها في السوق، مع تقديم خدمات متكاملة تشمل البيع والذبح والتجهيز والتغليف والتوصيل إلى المنازل، قبل أن يتبين قيامه بممارسة أساليب احتيالية من خلال استبدال المعروض بمواشٍ هزيلة وغير صالحة للاستهلاك الآدمي، ومجهولة المصدر، إضافة إلى ممارسة أعمال الذبح والتجهيز خارج المسالخ النظامية المعتمدة وفي بيئة تفتقر إلى الحد الأدنى من الاشتراطات الصحية والبيطرية.

وعقب استكمال أعمال التقصي والمراقبة الميدانية، باشرت الفرق المختصة الموقع واتخذت بحقه الإجراءات النظامية، وتم ضبط الموقع المخالف ومصادرة محتوياته وإغلاقه، وتطبيق الأنظمة والتعليمات المقررة بحق المخالفين، واستكمال جميع الإجراءات ذات العلاقة.

Regulatory teams affiliated with the Jeddah Municipality have dismantled an illegal site that was used as an unauthorized slaughterhouse within one of the yards, in the jurisdiction of the Umm Al-Salam municipality, where unlawful activities affecting public health and food safety were being practiced.

Monitoring and follow-up activities revealed that the operator of the site was misleading consumers by showcasing video clips of high-quality sheep at prices lower than those commonly found in the market, while providing comprehensive services including sales, slaughtering, preparation, packaging, and home delivery. It was later discovered that he was employing fraudulent methods by replacing the displayed animals with weak and unfit livestock for human consumption, of unknown origin, in addition to conducting slaughtering and preparation outside the approved licensed slaughterhouses and in an environment lacking the minimum health and veterinary requirements.

Following the completion of investigation and field monitoring activities, the specialized teams approached the site and took legal action against it. The illegal site was seized, its contents confiscated, and it was closed down, with the applicable laws and regulations enforced against the violators, and all related procedures completed.
