لقي شخصان مصرعهما وأُصيب 3 آخرون إثر مشاجرة اندلعت بين جيران في منطقة «الأشرفية» بالعاصمة الأردنية عمّان. وبحسب الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام، فإن أحد أطراف الشجار تحصّن داخل منزله وأطلق النار عشوائياً، مما تسبب في إصابة 3 مواطنين توفي أحدهم لاحقاً متأثراً بجراحه.

وأضاف المتحدث أن المتهم ونجله رفضا تسليم نفسيهما وأطلقا النار مباشرة صوب رجال الشرطة عند محاولة اعتقالهما، مما دفع القوة الأمنية للرد بالمثل؛ وأسفرت المواجهة عن مقتل مطلق النار والقبض على ابنه، دون وقوع أي إصابات في صفوف رجال الأمن.

Two people were killed and three others were injured following a brawl that broke out among neighbors in the "Ashrafieh" area of the Jordanian capital, Amman. According to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate, one of the parties involved in the fight barricaded himself inside his home and fired indiscriminately, resulting in the injury of three citizens, one of whom later died from his wounds.

The spokesperson added that the suspect and his son refused to surrender and fired directly at police officers when they attempted to arrest them, prompting the security forces to respond in kind; the confrontation resulted in the death of the shooter and the arrest of his son, with no injuries reported among the security personnel.
