وتهدف مذكرة التفاهم التي أُبرمت خلال الزيارة الرسمية الحالية للوزير إلى جمهورية كازاخستان؛ إلى تطوير التعاون الثنائي في عددٍ من المجالات المرتبطة بقطاع التعدين، بما يشمل الاستكشاف التعديني، وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة، وتحفيز الاستثمارات المشتركة، وتعزيز الشراكات بين الشركات السعودية والكازاخستانية العاملة في القطاع.
وتسعى إلى دعم التعاون في مجالات الابتكار والتقنيات الحديثة المستخدمة في التعدين، والاستفادة من الخبرات المتبادلة لتطوير سلاسل القيمة التعدينية، ورفع كفاءة عمليات الاستكشاف والتعدين، بما يسهم في تحقيق المصالح المشتركة للبلدين.
وتأتي مذكرة التفاهم ضمن جهود المملكة الرامية إلى توسيع شراكاتها الدولية في قطاع التعدين والمعادن، وتعزيز التعاون مع الدول ذات الإمكانات التعدينية الواعدة، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، ويعزز مكانة المملكة مركزًا عالميًا للتعدين والمعادن.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yersayin Nagasbayev, aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries in the mining and mineral resources sector, exchanging expertise and knowledge in the field of mineral exploration and its latest technologies, in addition to encouraging joint mining investments.
The memorandum of understanding, which was signed during the minister's current official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, aims to develop bilateral cooperation in several areas related to the mining sector, including mineral exploration, exchanging expertise and knowledge, stimulating joint investments, and enhancing partnerships between Saudi and Kazakh companies operating in the sector.
It seeks to support cooperation in the fields of innovation and modern technologies used in mining, and to benefit from mutual experiences to develop mining value chains, and improve the efficiency of exploration and mining operations, contributing to achieving the common interests of both countries.
The memorandum of understanding comes as part of the Kingdom's efforts to expand its international partnerships in the mining and minerals sector, and to enhance cooperation with countries that have promising mining potentials, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a global center for mining and minerals.
