فتحت قاعات المحكمة الابتدائية في تونس صفحة جديدة وصادمة من صفحات المحاسبة وتطهير مؤسسات الدولة، بعدما اهتز الرأي العام على وقع حكم قضائي مشدّد كسر الحصانة عن واحد من أبرز المسؤولين السابقين الذين جمعوا بين السلطة والنفوذ المهني لسنوات طويلة.

الدائرة الجنائية المختصة بالنظر في قضايا الفساد المالي أصدرت حكماً نهائياً بالسجن 4 سنوات بحق وزير فلاحة سابق شغل في الوقت ذاته منصب رئيس الاتحاد التونسي للفلاحة والصيد البحري، بتهم ثقيلة تتعلق بالتلاعب بأقوات التونسيين.

وانطلقت التحقيقات القضائية بعد رصد تجاوزات مالية ضخمة وإدارة مشبوهة لأموال الدولة. وبناءً عليه، قررت دائرة الاتهام بمحكمة الاستئناف إحالة الوزير السابق إلى المحاكمة العاجلة بصفته مديراً لجمعية ذات مصلحة قومية مهمة، لتوجه إليه رسمياً جناية «إدارة واستغلال أموال عمومية بطرق مخالفة للقوانين» بهدف التربح وتسهيل الاستيلاء على المال العام.

وتكمن خطورة هذه القضية في أن المتهم كان يترأس عصب الاقتصاد التونسي، إذ تولى قيادة قطاع الفلاحة والصيد البحري، وهو القطاع الحيوي الذي يمس معيشة ومأكل كل مواطن تونسي بصفة يومية. وجاء الحكم ليرسل إشارة قوية بأن القطاعات السيادية والمهنية الحساسة ليست ملاذاً آمناً لمن يعتقدون أنهم فوق المساءلة.

Consequently, the indictment chamber of the Court of Appeal decided to refer the former minister to urgent trial as the director of an association of significant national interest, officially charging him with the crime of "managing and exploiting public funds in ways that violate the law" for the purpose of profit and facilitating the embezzlement of public money.
