حصل «دويتشه بنك» على ترخيص لفتح مقر إقليمي في السعودية، مما يتيح للمؤسسة المالية الألمانية فرصة الحصول على عقود كبيرة حكومية مرتبطة بالدولة، في الوقت الذي تحث فيه المملكة الشركات متعددة الجنسيات على توسيع وجودها في الرياض.
وذكر البنك في بيان اليوم، أن المقر الجديد سيكون في الرياض ويتولى الإشراف على إدارة دويتشه بنك في المنطقة واتخاذ القرارات الإستراتيجية والوظائف المؤسسية له في الشرق الأوسط.
وينضم دويتشه بنك إلى عدد من المؤسسات المالية التي حصلت بالفعل على الترخيص، بما في ذلك «جيه.بي مورغان» و«غولدمان ساكس» و«مورغان ستانلي».
أهداف التوسع
وذكرت شركة دويتشه سيكيوريتيز-السعودية أن المقر سيكون ثالث كيان قانوني لدويتشه بنك في السعودية، إلى جانب فرع البنك في الرياض الذي تأسس في 2006 ويخضع لرقابة البنك المركزي السعودي، والشركة التي تأسست في 2007 وتخضع لرقابة هيئة السوق المالية.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي لدويتشه بنك في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا جمال الكشي: «إن الترخيص سيدعم أهداف التوسع للبنك في المنطقة وقدرته على ربط العملاء السعوديين والإقليميين بالفرص المتاحة في أوروبا وآسيا والأمريكيتين وأفريقيا».
وأضاف: «هذه الخطوة ستساعد في جذب الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر إلى السعودية وأسواق أخرى في المنطقة».
Deutsche Bank has obtained a license to open a regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, allowing the German financial institution the opportunity to secure large government contracts linked to the state, at a time when the Kingdom is urging multinational companies to expand their presence in Riyadh.
The bank stated in a statement today that the new headquarters will be in Riyadh and will oversee the management of Deutsche Bank in the region and make strategic decisions and corporate functions for it in the Middle East.
Deutsche Bank joins a number of financial institutions that have already obtained the license, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley.
Expansion Goals
Deutsche Securities-Saudi Arabia stated that the headquarters will be the third legal entity for Deutsche Bank in Saudi Arabia, alongside the bank's branch in Riyadh, which was established in 2006 and is subject to the supervision of the Saudi Central Bank, and the company that was established in 2007 and is subject to the supervision of the Capital Market Authority.
Jamal Al-Kishi, CEO of Deutsche Bank in the Middle East and Africa, said: "The license will support the bank's expansion goals in the region and its ability to connect Saudi and regional clients with opportunities available in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa."
He added: "This step will help attract foreign direct investment to Saudi Arabia and other markets in the region."
