انطلقت أعمال ملتقى الاستثمار السعودي الكندي، اليوم في محافظة جدة، بمشاركة وفد كندي رفيع المستوى من ممثلي القطاعين العام والخاص، إلى جانب مسؤولين وقادة أعمال ومستثمرين من البلدين؛ بهدف تعزيز الشراكة الاستثمارية واستكشاف فرص التعاون في عدد من القطاعات الاقتصادية الواعدة.
وتضمن الملتقى اجتماع طاولة مستديرة جمع مسؤولين ومستثمرين وقادة أعمال من الجانبين، جرى خلاله بحث فرص الشراكة الاستثمارية، واستعراض الممكّنات والحوافز التي توفرها المملكة، إلى جانب مناقشة آفاق التعاون في القطاعات ذات الأولوية.
نمو متسارع بقطاع الصناعة
وشهد الملتقى توقيع 15 مذكرة تفاهم واتفاقية تعاون بين جهات حكومية وشركات ومؤسسات من المملكة العربية السعودية وكندا، بما يعزز العلاقات الاقتصادية ويدعم توسيع مجالات التعاون والاستثمار المشترك.
وناقش المشاركون خلال جلسات الملتقى الفرص الاستثمارية في قطاعات الخدمات المالية والتعدين والصناعات المتقدمة والذكاء الاصطناعي ومراكز البيانات، إضافة إلى استعراض الممكنات التي توفرها المملكة للمستثمرين في إطار مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
واستعرض الملتقى ما تشهده المملكة من نمو متسارع في القطاع الصناعي، وما توفره من مزايا تنافسية تشمل البنية التحتية المتطورة وموقعها الإستراتيجي الذي يربط أسواق الشرق الأوسط وآسيا وأوروبا وأفريقيا، بما يفتح آفاقاً جديدة للشراكات الاستثمارية مع الجانب الكندي.
فرص واعدة في التعدين
وسُلِّط الضوء على الفرص الواعدة في قطاع التعدين، حيث تقدر الموارد المعدنية في المملكة بنحو 2.5 تريليون دولار، وتشمل أكثر من 50 معدنًا، إلى جانب النمو المتسارع في أعمال الاستكشاف وسلاسل القيمة التحويلية، بما يتوافق مع الخبرات الكندية المتقدمة في هذا القطاع.
ويأتي انعقاد الملتقى في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية بين المملكة وكندا، وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون والاستثمار بما يدعم النمو الاقتصادي المستدام ويعزز الشراكة بين البلدين.
The Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum kicked off today in Jeddah, with the participation of a high-level Canadian delegation from the public and private sectors, alongside officials, business leaders, and investors from both countries; aimed at enhancing investment partnership and exploring cooperation opportunities in several promising economic sectors.
The forum included a roundtable meeting that brought together officials, investors, and business leaders from both sides, during which investment partnership opportunities were discussed, and the enablers and incentives provided by the Kingdom were reviewed, in addition to discussing cooperation prospects in priority sectors.
Accelerated Growth in the Industrial Sector
The forum witnessed the signing of 15 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements between government entities and companies and institutions from Saudi Arabia and Canada, which enhances economic relations and supports the expansion of fields for cooperation and joint investment.
Participants discussed during the forum sessions the investment opportunities in the financial services, mining, advanced industries, artificial intelligence, and data centers sectors, in addition to reviewing the enablers provided by the Kingdom for investors within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.
The forum showcased the rapid growth the Kingdom is experiencing in the industrial sector and the competitive advantages it offers, including advanced infrastructure and its strategic location that connects the markets of the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa, opening new horizons for investment partnerships with the Canadian side.
Promising Opportunities in Mining
Attention was drawn to the promising opportunities in the mining sector, where mineral resources in the Kingdom are estimated at around $2.5 trillion, encompassing more than 50 minerals, alongside the accelerated growth in exploration activities and transformative value chains, aligning with Canada's advanced expertise in this sector.
The forum was held as part of efforts to enhance economic relations between the Kingdom and Canada, and to open new avenues for cooperation and investment that support sustainable economic growth and strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
