ندد أمين عام جامعة الدول العربية نبيل فهمي، اليوم (الأحد)، بالانتهاكات الإيرانية المستمرة لدول المنطقة، معرباً عن إدانته واستنكاره الشديد لاستمرار إيران في انتهاج سياسات وممارسات مزعزعة لأمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
وقال فهمي في بيان إن إيران تنتهك مبادئ القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817، إضافة إلى مخالفة قواعد حسن الجوار، وذلك بتكرار الاعتداءات الإيرانية على السفن التجارية بما يهدد أمن وحرية الملاحة الدولية، مندداً بمواصلة طهران «الاعتداءات الآثمة» التي استهدفت الكويت، والبحرين، وقطر، والإمارات، وسلطنة عُمان، والأردن.
وجدد الأمين العام للجامعة العربية رفضه القاطع لأية ممارسات تمس سيادة الدول العربية وسلامة أراضيها، وتشكل تهديداً لأمنها الوطني واستقرارها.
وأكّد فهمي أنه «لا يمكن قبول أية مبررات لهذه الاعتداءات المرفوضة والمستنكرة»، مشدداً على أن «أمن الدول العربية كلٌّ لا يتجزأ، وأن أي مساس بسيادة أي دولة عربية يمثل انتهاكاً مرفوضاً يستوجب موقفاً عربياً موحداً وحازماً».
وأكد المتحدث باسم الجامعة تضامن الجامعة العربية الكامل مع الدول العربية في مواجهة هذه الاعتداءات، ودعمها لجميع الإجراءات المشروعة التي تتخذها للدفاع عن سيادتها وحماية أمنها وتأمين شعوبها، داعياً مجلس الأمن إلى تحمل مسؤولياته واتخاذ خطوات فاعلة لوقف هذه الانتهاكات، وضمان احترام القانون الدولي، وصون أمن الملاحة الدولية، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, condemned today (Sunday) the ongoing Iranian violations against the countries of the region, expressing his strong condemnation and denunciation of Iran's continued pursuit of destabilizing policies and practices that threaten the security and stability of the region.
Fahmy stated in a statement that Iran is violating the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, in addition to breaching the rules of good neighborliness, by repeatedly attacking commercial vessels, which threatens the security and freedom of international navigation. He condemned Tehran's continued "criminal assaults" targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, and Jordan.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League reiterated his firm rejection of any practices that undermine the sovereignty of Arab states and the integrity of their territories, which pose a threat to their national security and stability.
Fahmy emphasized that "no justifications can be accepted for these rejected and denounced assaults," stressing that "the security of Arab states is indivisible, and any infringement on the sovereignty of any Arab state represents an unacceptable violation that requires a unified and firm Arab stance."
The spokesperson for the League confirmed the full solidarity of the Arab League with the Arab states in facing these assaults, and its support for all legitimate measures they take to defend their sovereignty, protect their security, and secure their peoples, calling on the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take effective steps to stop these violations, ensure respect for international law, and safeguard the security of international navigation, contributing to enhancing security and stability in the region.
