أدانت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، بأشد العبارات، هجوم مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية الذي استهدف سفينة (ENCELIA) التابعة لإحدى الشركات السعودية أثناء إبحارها في البحر الأحمر.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية، في بيان لها، أن هذا الهجوم يُمثل تهديداً جسيماً لسلامة وأمن الملاحة الدولية، ويُعد تصعيداً خطيراً يستهدف تقويض أمن واستقرار الممرات المائية الحيوية في العالم.
ودعت في بيانها المجتمع الدولي إلى ضمان تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، لا سيما القرار رقم 2216 بشأن اليمن، والقرار رقم 2722 بشأن حقوق وحرية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر، مؤكدةً أن حرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية حق يكفله القانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982.
وأكدت الوزارة تضامن دولة الإمارات الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية ودعمها في كل ما من شأنه حفظ أمنها واستقرارها.
The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the attack by the Houthi terrorist militia that targeted the (ENCELIA) ship belonging to a Saudi company while it was sailing in the Red Sea.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that this attack represents a grave threat to the safety and security of international navigation and constitutes a serious escalation aimed at undermining the security and stability of vital waterways around the world.
In its statement, it called on the international community to ensure the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 regarding Yemen and Resolution 2722 concerning the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, emphasizing that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a right guaranteed by international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982.
The ministry affirmed the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all that would preserve its security and stability.
