أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (الخميس)، رغبة بلاده في تحقيق نتائج أسرع في مفاوضات السلام مع الروس والأمريكيين،واصفاً المحادثات بأنها «ليست سهلة».
وقال زيلينسكي في مؤتمر صحفي في كييف إلى جانب رئيس الوزراء البولندي دونالد توسك: بالتأكيد إنها ليست سهلة، لكن أوكرانيا كانت وستظل بنّاءة قدر الإمكان، مضيفاً: «نريد نتائج أسرع».
من جهته، أكد كيريل بودانوف رئيس مكتب زيلينسكي، أن المفاوضات بين ممثلين عن روسيا والولايات المتحدة وأوكرانيا بناءة.
وكان المبعوث الرئاسي الأمريكي الخاص، ستيف ويتكوف، قد قال إن وفدي روسيا وأوكرانيا يعتزمان مواصلة المشاورات بشأن حل النزاع، ومن التوقع إحراز تقدم في الأسابيع القادمة، موضحاً أن المفاوضات مثمرة، ولكن يجب القيام بعمل كبير.
ميدانياً، ذكرت السلطات الأوكرانية أن 6 أشخاص قتلوا وأصيب آخرون، بقصف روسي استهدف مقاطعات خيرسون وسومي ودنيبرو.
وأفادت وكالة الأنباء الأوكرانية (أوكرينفورم) أن القوات الروسية استهدفت منطقتي دروجكيفكا وليمان الواقعتين في مقاطعة دونيتسك، مما أسفر عن مقتل 8 أشخاص وإصابة 21 آخرين.
فيما أعلنت السلطات في كييف إصابة شخصين، جراء شظايا مسيرات روسية، أسقطتها الدفاعات الأوكرانية، مبينة أن الهجمات أصابت أيضا مقاطعات أوديسا وخاركيف، وتسببت في سقوط جرحى.
وكانت وسائل إعلام روسية قد قالت إن قوات بلادها أحبطت هجوماً أوكرانياً مضاداً بالقرب من بلاغوداتوفكا في كوبيانسك، مما أسفر عن مقتل 6 مسلحين، وتدمير 9 أنظمة روبوتية أرضية تابعة للقوات المسلحة الأوكرانية.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today (Thursday) his country's desire to achieve faster results in peace negotiations with the Russians and Americans, describing the talks as "not easy."
Zelensky said at a press conference in Kyiv alongside Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk: "Certainly, it is not easy, but Ukraine has been and will remain as constructive as possible," adding: "We want faster results."
For his part, Kirill Budanov, head of Zelensky's office, confirmed that the negotiations between representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine are constructive.
The U.S. presidential envoy, Steve Witkoff, had stated that the Russian and Ukrainian delegations intend to continue consultations regarding a resolution to the conflict, and progress is expected in the coming weeks, explaining that the negotiations are fruitful, but significant work remains to be done.
On the ground, Ukrainian authorities reported that 6 people were killed and others injured due to Russian shelling targeting the Kherson, Sumy, and Dnipro regions.
The Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform) reported that Russian forces targeted the areas of Druzhkivka and Lyman in the Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of 8 people and injuries to 21 others.
Meanwhile, authorities in Kyiv announced that two people were injured due to shrapnel from Russian drones that were shot down by Ukrainian defenses, indicating that the attacks also affected the Odesa and Kharkiv regions, causing injuries.
Russian media reported that its forces thwarted a Ukrainian counterattack near Blahodatnivka in Kupiansk, resulting in the deaths of 6 militants and the destruction of 9 ground robotic systems belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces.
