أجرى وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي اليوم (الإثنين) اتصالات هاتفية منفصلة مع نظرائه؛ السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، والمصري بدر عبدالعاطي، والتركي هاكان فيدان، بحسب ما أعلنه التلفزيون الإيراني.
ونقل التلفزيون الرسمي عن وزارة الخارجية قولها إن عراقجي أطلع نظراءه الثلاثة على نتائج المفاوضات النووية التي جرت الأسبوع الماضي مع الولايات المتحدة، واصفاً المحادثات بأنها «بداية جيدة».
تبديد الشكوك
وأكد عراقجي «ضرورة تبديد الشكوك حول نوايا وأهداف الجانب الأمريكي»، مضيفاً أن وزراء خارجية الدول الثلاث اعتبروا نجاح هذه المفاوضات أمراً بالغ الأهمية لاستقرار وأمن المنطقة.
واستضافت مسقط، (الجمعة)، جولة مفاوضات غير مباشرة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، واتفق الطرفان على استئناف المحادثات على أن يتم تحديد الموعد والمكان في وقت لاحق.
من جهة أخرى، قال وزير الخارجية التركي هاكان فيدان في مقابلة اليوم إنه لا يبدو أن هناك تهديداً وشيكاً بالحرب بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، معتبراً أن الباب قد فُتح قليلاً أمام إمكانية التوصل إلى اتفاق.
أهمية التفاوض
وأضاف فيدان: الشيء الإيجابي بشأن المفاوضات التي جرت بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران قبل عدة أيام هو أن الأطراف أبدت إرادة للاستمرار في التفاوض، مبيناً أن قرار بدء المفاوضات من الملف النووي كان قراراً مهماً، فالملف النووي هو القضية الأهم.
وحذر وزير الخارجية التركي من أن المنطقة لا تحتمل اندلاع حرب جديدة، مشدداً بالقول: «نريد استخدام جميع الإمكانات لمنع أي حرب محتملة».
إرشادات للسفن الأمريكية
في غضون ذلك، أصدرت الولايات المتحدة اليوم إرشادات جديدة للسفن التجارية التي تعبر مضيق هرمز مع تزايد التوتر بين واشنطن وطهران بشأن برنامج إيران النووي، وحثت الإدارة البحرية التابعة لوزارة النقل الأمريكية -في ضوء الإرشادات الجديدة- السفن التجارية التي ترفع علم الولايات المتحدة بالبقاء بعيداً قدر الإمكان عن المياه الإقليمية الإيرانية، وأن ترفض شفهياً طلب القوات الإيرانية الصعود على متن السفن إذا طلبت ذلك.
وشددت الإرشادات كذلك على ضرورة ألا تقاوم أطقم السفن القوات الإيرانية إذا صعدت على متنها.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conducted separate phone calls today (Monday) with his counterparts; Saudi Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Egyptian Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Hakan Fidan, according to Iranian television.
The state television reported that the Foreign Ministry stated that Araghchi briefed his three counterparts on the results of the nuclear negotiations that took place last week with the United States, describing the talks as a "good start".
Dispelling Doubts
Araghchi emphasized the "necessity of dispelling doubts about the intentions and goals of the American side," adding that the foreign ministers of the three countries considered the success of these negotiations to be extremely important for the stability and security of the region.
Muscat hosted an indirect round of negotiations between Iran and the United States on Friday, and both sides agreed to resume talks, with the date and place to be determined later.
On another note, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in an interview today that there does not seem to be an imminent threat of war between the United States and Iran, considering that the door has been slightly opened for the possibility of reaching an agreement.
The Importance of Negotiation
Fidan added: "The positive thing about the negotiations that took place between the United States and Iran a few days ago is that the parties showed a willingness to continue negotiating," pointing out that the decision to start negotiations on the nuclear file was an important decision, as the nuclear file is the most critical issue.
The Turkish Foreign Minister warned that the region cannot bear the outbreak of a new war, stressing: "We want to use all possibilities to prevent any potential war."
Guidelines for American Ships
Meanwhile, the United States issued new guidelines today for commercial vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran regarding Iran's nuclear program. The U.S. Maritime Administration urged commercial vessels flying the U.S. flag to stay as far away as possible from Iranian territorial waters and to verbally refuse any request from Iranian forces to board the ships if asked.
The guidelines also emphasized that ship crews should not resist Iranian forces if they board the vessels.
