عادت أسعار الذهب لمواصلة مكاسبها اليوم، بعد ارتفاعها بأكثر من 2% في الجلسة السابقة في وقت ارتفع فيه الدولار قبل صدور تقرير مهم للتضخم يمكن أن يوفر المزيد من المؤشرات حول مسار أسعار الفائدة في الولايات المتحدة.
وارتفعت أسعار الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 0.83% أو 40 دولار، إلى 5,018.05 دولار للأوقية، بعد ارتفاعها 2.1% في الجلسة السابقة.
أداء جيد
وسجل الدولار أعلى مستوى له في أكثر من أسبوع، ما يجعل المعدن النفيس المسعر به أعلى تكلفة لحائزي العملات الأخرى.
ويترقب المستثمرون التقرير الأسبوعي لطلبات إعانة البطالة المقرر صدوره في وقت لاحق اليوم وبيانات الإنفاق الاستهلاكي الشخصي، مقياس التضخم المفضل لمجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي)، المقرر صدورها غداً؛ للحصول على المزيد من المؤشرات حول مسار السياسة النقدية.
وعادة ما يحقق الذهب الذي لا يدر عائداً أداء جيداً في أوقات أسعار الفائدة المنخفضة.
الفضة إلى 76.83 دولار
وزاد الذهب بأكثر من 2% أمس؛ بسبب الطلب على الملاذات الآمنة بعدما انتهت محادثات سلام استمرت على مدار يومين في جنيف بين أوكرانيا وروسيا دون تحقيق أي تقدم.
وبالنسبة للمعادن النفيسة الأخرى، تراجعت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 0.5% إلى 76.83 دولار للأوقية، بعد انخفاضها بأكثر من 5% أمس.
ونزل البلاتين في المعاملات الفورية 0.1% إلى 2069.35 دولار للأوقية، وهبط البلاديوم 0.5% إلى 1707.53 دولار.
Gold prices returned to continue their gains today, after rising more than 2% in the previous session, while the dollar strengthened ahead of an important inflation report that could provide more indications about the path of interest rates in the United States.

Good Performance
The dollar reached its highest level in over a week, making the precious metal priced in it more expensive for holders of other currencies.
Investors are awaiting the weekly report on unemployment claims scheduled to be released later today and the personal consumption expenditures data, the preferred inflation measure of the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank), which is set to be released tomorrow; to gain more insights into the monetary policy path.
Gold, which does not yield returns, typically performs well in times of low interest rates.
Silver at $76.83
Gold increased by more than 2% yesterday due to demand for safe havens after two days of peace talks in Geneva between Ukraine and Russia ended without any progress.
As for other precious metals, silver fell in spot transactions by 0.5% to $76.83 per ounce, after dropping more than 5% yesterday.
Platinum decreased in spot transactions by 0.1% to $2,069.35 per ounce, and palladium dropped by 0.5% to $1,707.53.
