أصدرت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء تحذيرًا بشأن عدد من منتجات حليب الأطفال التابعة لشركة «نوتريشيا دانون» للعلامتين التجاريتين (Bebelac و Aptamil)، وذلك إثر إبلاغ طوعي من الشركة وسحبها احترازيًا لبعض التشغيلات لاحتمالية تلوثها بمادة «سيريوليد» (Cereulide) التي تفرزها بكتيريا «باسيلس سيريوس» (Bacillus cereus)، التي قد تشكل خطرًا على صحة الرضع.

وأشارت «الهيئة» إلى أن هذا الإجراء يأتي ضمن السحب الطوعي الاحترازي، وبعد تقييم المخاطر المحتملة، مبينةً أن التعرض لهذه المادة قد يؤدي إلى ظهور أعراض خلال فترة تتراوح بين نصف ساعة إلى 6 ساعات من استهلاك المنتج، وتشمل الغثيان والقيء المتكرر وآلام البطن، وعادةً ما تكون الأعراض قصيرة المدى وتستمر حتى 24 ساعة.

وأوضحت «الهيئة» أنه لم تُسجّل أي حالات مرضية مرتبطة بهذه المنتجات في المملكة حتى تاريخه.

وأوصت «الغذاء والدواء» المستهلكين بعدم استهلاك المنتجات المشمولة بالسحب والتخلص منها فورًا، مشيرةً إلى أنها اتخذت الإجراءات اللازمة بالتنسيق مع الشركة لسحب المنتجات من الأسواق ومتابعة تنفيذ ذلك مباشرةً، ويوضح الجدول المرفق تفاصيل المنتجات وأرقام التشغيلات المشمولة بالسحب.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority issued a warning regarding several infant milk products from "Nutricia Danone" for the brands (Bebelac and Aptamil), following a voluntary report from the company and a precautionary recall of certain batches due to the potential contamination with "Cereulide," a substance produced by the bacteria "Bacillus cereus," which may pose a risk to the health of infants.

The Authority indicated that this action is part of a precautionary voluntary recall, and after assessing the potential risks, noting that exposure to this substance may lead to symptoms appearing within a period ranging from half an hour to 6 hours after consuming the product, which include nausea, repeated vomiting, and abdominal pain. Typically, the symptoms are short-term and last up to 24 hours.

The Authority clarified that no illness cases related to these products have been recorded in the Kingdom to date.

The "Food and Drug Authority" recommended that consumers refrain from consuming the recalled products and dispose of them immediately, indicating that it has taken the necessary measures in coordination with the company to withdraw the products from the markets and to monitor the implementation of this directly.
