أعلنت موسكو أنها تعتزم تقديم أفكار لواشنطن، في إطار وساطة بين أمريكا وإيران. وقال موقع «روسيا اليوم»: في ظل استمرار استعصاء المسار المباشر بين واشنطن وطهران، تبرز موسكو لاعباً وسيطاً.

وأضاف أن روسيا أعلنت عزمها طرح أفكار على الإدارة الأمريكية.
ويأتي الإعلان الروسي غداة لقاء الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين ووزير الخارجية العراقي عباس عراقجي في سانت بطرسبورغ، أمس الإثنين.
وأكد بوتين أن موسكو ستبذل كل ما في وسعها للمساعدة في إنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.
وجاءت زيارة عراقجي في إطار جولة خارجية شملت سلطنة عمان وباكستان التي تقود الوساطة بين طهران وواشنطن.
وعقدت واشطن وطهران جولة مفاوضات أولى في إسلام أباد في وقت سابق من أبريل الجاري. وفي ظل تعثّر الجهود لاستئناف المباحثات، تأتي جولة عراقجي الخارجية التي زار خلالها باكستان مرتين خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع.
وتسعى روسيا للتوسط من أجل المساعدة في استعادة الهدوء بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط، في أعقاب الحرب على إيران، إذ يسري منذ نحو ثلاثة أسابيع وقف لإطلاق النار تم التوصل إليه بعد أكثر من 40 يوماً من الحرب.
وعرضت موسكو أكثر من مرة مقترحاً لتخزين اليورانيوم الإيراني المخصب لديها كآلية لتهدئة التوترات القائمة، غير أن هذا الاقتراح قوبل بالرفض من الولايات المتحدة.
وبدأت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل حرباً على إيران في 28 فبراير الماضي، لتردّ الأخيرة بشن هجمات على إسرائيل ودول المنطقة، قبل أن تعلن واشنطن وطهران في 8 أبريل الجاري هدنة مؤقتة بوساطة باكستانية.
وفي 11 أبريل، استضافت باكستان جولة محادثات بين الطرفين لم تفضِ إلى اتفاق، ليعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في 21 من الشهر ذاته تمديد الهدنة، بناء على طلب الوساطة الباكستانية «إلى حين تقديم طهران مقترحها» بشأن المفاوضات، دون تحديد سقف زمني.

Moscow has announced its intention to present ideas to Washington as part of mediation between the U.S. and Iran. The "Russia Today" website stated: Amid the ongoing stalemate in the direct path between Washington and Tehran, Moscow emerges as a mediating player.

It added that Russia has declared its intention to propose ideas to the U.S. administration.
This Russian announcement comes a day after President Vladimir Putin met with Iraqi Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in St. Petersburg on Monday.
Putin confirmed that Moscow will do everything in its power to help end the war in the Middle East.
Araghchi's visit is part of a foreign tour that included Oman and Pakistan, which is leading the mediation between Tehran and Washington.
Washington and Tehran held the first round of negotiations in Islamabad earlier this April. Amid the stalled efforts to resume talks, Araghchi's foreign tour comes after he visited Pakistan twice over the weekend.
Russia is seeking to mediate to help restore calm in the Middle East following the war on Iran, as a ceasefire has been in effect for about three weeks, reached after more than 40 days of conflict.
Moscow has proposed more than once to store Iranian enriched uranium as a mechanism to ease existing tensions, but this proposal has been rejected by the United States.
The U.S. and Israel began a war on Iran on February 28, leading the latter to respond with attacks on Israel and regional countries, before Washington and Tehran announced a temporary truce on April 8, mediated by Pakistan.
On April 11, Pakistan hosted a round of talks between the two parties that did not result in an agreement, prompting U.S. President Donald Trump to announce on the 21st of the same month an extension of the truce, at the request of the Pakistani mediation "until Tehran presents its proposal" regarding the negotiations, without specifying a time frame.
