أكدت وزارة الداخلية الكويتية أنها لن تتهاون مطلقًا مع مخالفات تجاوز السرعات المقررة على الطرق، مشددة على تطبيق العقوبات بكل حزم حفاظًا على الأرواح والممتلكات.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن من يتجاوز سرعة (150 كم/س) تُحرر بحقه مخالفة مرورية مع حجز المركبة، بينما يُعاقب المقيم بالمخالفة وحجز المركبة إضافة إلى الإبعاد عن البلاد.
أما عند بلوغ السرعة (170 كم/س)، فتُطبق عقوبة المخالفة المرورية والحجز التحفظي وحجز المركبة بحق المواطن، فيما يُعاقب المقيم بالمخالفة وحجز المركبة والإبعاد عن البلاد.
وفي حال تسجيل سرعة (200 كم/س)، فإن العقوبة على المواطن تشمل تحرير مخالفة مرورية وحجز المركبة والإحالة إلى السجن، بينما يُعاقب المقيم بالمخالفة المرورية وحجز المركبـة والإبعاد عن البلاد.
وأكدت الوزارة أن هذه الإجراءات تأتي في إطار تعزيز السلامة المرورية والحد من السلوكيات المتهورة التي تشكل خطرًا جسيمًا على مستخدمي الطرق.
