حذّرت القنصلية العامة السعودية في جنيف، اليوم (الخميس)، المواطنين المقيمين والزائرين من ضرورة توخي الحذر وتجنب مناطق المظاهرات والتجمعات، والالتزام بتعليمات السلطات السويسرية خلال قمة مجموعة السبع (G7) التي انطلقت اليوم وتستمر حتى 19 يونيو الجاري.
وكتبت القنصلية على حسابها في منصة «إكس»: «تود القنصلية العامة في جنيف إخطار جميع المواطنين المقيمين والزائرين بأن السلطات السويسرية تفرض قيوداً أمنية مشددة في كل من كانتون جنيف وكانتون فود، وكذلك المعابر الحدودية مع الجانب الفرنسي، للفترة من 11 إلى 19 يونيو، تزامناً مع انعقاد قمة مجموعة السبع (G7)، ما سيترتب عليه إغلاقات وقيود على الحركة والتنقل»، مضيفة: «وتهيب القنصلية بالمواطنين الكرام ضرورة توخي الحيطة والحذر، وتجنب مناطق المظاهرات والتجمعات، ومتابعة التعليمات الصادرة عن السلطات السويسرية».
وحددت القنصلية أرقاماً للتواصل في الحالات الطارئة، قائلة: «تتمنى القنصلية السلامة للجميع، وفي الحالات الطارئة يمكن التواصل عبر هاتف شؤون السعوديين: (0041798701543)، والرقم الموحد: (00966920011114)».
وكانت الحكومة السويسرية قد أعلنت أنها اتفقت مع فرنسا على خطة تعاون أمني لتأمين قمة مجموعة السبع، التي يشارك فيها قادة عالميون، على أن تركز الخطة خصوصاً على الأمن حول بحيرة جنيف ومجالها الجوي.
ومن المقرر أن يجتمع قادة أكبر الاقتصادات في العالم، بينهم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، إلى جانب وفود رفيعة المستوى، في بلدة إيفيان لي بان الفرنسية الواقعة على الضفة المقابلة لبحيرة جنيف.
وكان الجيش السويسري قد أعلن أنه سينشر نحو 4 آلاف جندي لتعزيز الإجراءات الأمنية، إلى جانب فرق لمراقبة المجال الجوي، مع فرض قيود خلال فترة القمة، وتوفير أنظمة للتصدي للطائرات المسيّرة، والحماية من التهديدات النووية والبيولوجية والكيميائية.
The Saudi Consulate General in Geneva warned today (Thursday) citizens residing and visiting to exercise caution and avoid areas of demonstrations and gatherings, and to adhere to the instructions of Swiss authorities during the G7 Summit that began today and will continue until June 19.
The consulate wrote on its account on the "X" platform: "The Consulate General in Geneva wishes to inform all citizens residing and visiting that Swiss authorities are imposing strict security measures in both the Canton of Geneva and the Canton of Vaud, as well as at border crossings with the French side, from June 11 to June 19, coinciding with the G7 Summit, which will result in closures and restrictions on movement and mobility," adding: "The consulate urges esteemed citizens to exercise caution and avoid areas of demonstrations and gatherings, and to follow the instructions issued by Swiss authorities."
The consulate specified contact numbers for emergencies, stating: "The consulate wishes safety for everyone, and in emergencies, you can contact the Saudi Affairs phone: (0041798701543), and the unified number: (00966920011114)."
The Swiss government had announced that it had agreed with France on a security cooperation plan to secure the G7 Summit, which includes world leaders, focusing particularly on security around Lake Geneva and its airspace.
World leaders from the largest economies, including U.S. President Donald Trump, along with high-level delegations, are scheduled to meet in the French town of Évian-les-Bains located on the opposite shore of Lake Geneva.
The Swiss army had announced that it would deploy about 4,000 soldiers to enhance security measures, along with teams to monitor airspace, imposing restrictions during the summit period, and providing systems to counter unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as protection against nuclear, biological, and chemical threats.
