استكمالًا لبحث مخرجات تنفيذ توجيهات قادة دول مجلس التعاون في لقائهم التشاوري التاسع عشر بجدة بتاريخ 28 أبريل 2026، والهادفة إلى وضع توصيات تعزّز سلاسل إمداد الطاقة في دول المجلس، عُقد أمس الاجتماع الاستثنائي للجنة التعاون البترولي عبر الاتصال المرئي، برئاسة وزير النفط والبيئة والمبعوث الخاص لشؤون المناخ في مملكة البحرين الدكتور محمد مبارك بن دينه، وبمشاركة الوزراء المعنيين بالطاقة في دول المجلس.
وأكد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون جاسم محمد البديوي أن هذا الاجتماع يجسد حرص دول المجلس على تعزيز العمل الخليجي المشترك في قطاع الطاقة، باعتباره من الركائز الأساسية للتنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة، وبما يسهم في دعم أمن الطاقة واستدامة إمداداتها، ورفع مستوى التكامل بين دول المجلس في هذا القطاع الحيوي.
كما عبّر الأمين العام عن خالص شكره وتقديره للوزراء المشاركين على جهودهم المتواصلة ودعمهم لأعمال اللجنة، وما يبذلونه من تنسيق مشترك يعزّز مسيرة التكامل الخليجي، ويقوي أمن الطاقة واستدامة سلاسل الإمداد، بما يحقق مصالح دول المجلس ويتماشى مع تطلعاتها المستقبلية.
In continuation of the research on the outcomes of implementing the directives of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council during their nineteenth consultative meeting in Jeddah on April 28, 2026, aimed at establishing recommendations to enhance energy supply chains in the member states, an extraordinary meeting of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee was held yesterday via video conference, chaired by the Minister of Oil and Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dena, with the participation of the ministers concerned with energy in the member states.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that this meeting embodies the member states' commitment to enhancing joint Gulf action in the energy sector, as it is one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable economic development, contributing to supporting energy security and the sustainability of its supplies, and raising the level of integration among the member states in this vital sector.
He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the participating ministers for their continuous efforts and support for the committee's work, and for their joint coordination that enhances the path of Gulf integration, strengthens energy security, and sustains supply chains, achieving the interests of the member states and aligning with their future aspirations.
