صرّح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية، بأن منظومات الدفاع الجوي تصدّت صباح اليوم الجمعة، لثلاثة صواريخ إيرانية دخلت المجال الجوي الأردني، وكانت تستهدف أراضي المملكة، وتمكّنت من اعتراضها وإسقاطها.
وأوضح المصدر -وفقًا لوكالة الأنباء الأردنية (بترا)- أن التعامل مع الصواريخ جرى وفق التدابير الدفاعية والإجراءات العملياتية المعتمدة، بما يكفل حماية سيادة المملكة وتأمين أجوائها والمحافظة على أمن المواطنين وسلامتهم، مبينًا أن عملية الاعتراض والإسقاط لم تسفر عن أي إصابات بشرية أو أضرار مادية، فيما باشرت فرق سلاح الهندسة الملكي مهامها في المواقع التي سقطت فيها الشظايا، وتعاملت معها وأمّنتها وفق الإجراءات الفنية والأمنية المعتمدة.
ودعا المصدر المواطنين إلى استقاء الأخبار والمعلومات من مصادرها الرسمية، والامتناع عن نشر الشائعات وتداول الأخبار غير الموثوقة.

A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the air defense systems intercepted three Iranian missiles that entered Jordanian airspace this morning, Friday, which were targeting the territory of the Kingdom, and managed to intercept and destroy them.
The source clarified - according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) - that the handling of the missiles was carried out in accordance with the approved defensive measures and operational procedures, ensuring the protection of the Kingdom's sovereignty, securing its airspace, and maintaining the safety and security of citizens. It indicated that the interception and destruction operation did not result in any human casualties or material damage, while the Royal Engineering Corps teams began their tasks at the sites where the debris fell, dealt with it, and secured it according to the approved technical and security procedures.
