أعلنت حركة حماس، انتخاب خليل الحية رئيسًا للمكتب السياسي خلفًا ليحيى السنوار، في خطوة تمثل تحولًا جديدًا في قيادة الحركة وسط استمرار التطورات السياسية والأمنية المرتبطة بالحرب في قطاع غزة.
وقالت الحركة في بيان، اليوم الإثنين، إن مؤسساتها القيادية انتهت إلى اختيار خليل الحية لتولي رئاسة المكتب السياسي، ليقود الحركة خلال المرحلة القادمة، دون أن تكشف عن تفاصيل إضافية بشأن آلية الانتخاب أو أولويات القيادة الجديدة.
ويعد الحية من أبرز القيادات السياسية في حماس، وشغل خلال السنوات الماضية مواقع قيادية متعددة، كما كان عضوًا في المكتب السياسي ورئيسًا للحركة في قطاع غزة بالإنابة في عدد من المراحل، وشارك في جولات عديدة من المفاوضات غير المباشرة المتعلقة بوقف إطلاق النار وتبادل الأسرى.
