أعربت وزارة الخارجية البحرينية، اليوم (الخميس)، عن إدانة مملكة البحرين واستنكارها الشديدين للاعتداء الحوثي الذي استهدف سفينة تابعة لشركة سعودية أثناء إبحارها في البحر الأحمر، مما أدى إلى اشتعال حريق في مقدمة السفينة دون وقوع إصابات.

وقالت الخارجية البحرينية إن الاعتداء يشكل «انتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار، وتهديداً خطيراً لأمن الملاحة البحرية وسلامة التجارة الدولية وإمدادات الطاقة»، مؤكدة تضامن البحرين الكامل مع السعودية، ودعمها التام لما تتخذه من إجراءات مشروعة للحفاظ على سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها ومصالحها الحيوية.

وجددت دعوتها للمجتمع الدولي، لا سيما مجلس الأمن إلى «الاضطلاع بمسؤولياته في وضع حدٍّ لهذه الهجمات الإرهابية، واتخاذ الإجراءات الرادعة لحماية أمن وسلامة حركة الملاحة البحرية في مضيق هرمز وباب المندب وسائر الممرات المائية الحيوية، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن الاعتداءات، بما يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين والعالميين».

بدورها، أعربت سلطنة عُمان عن بالغ اهتمامها بالتطورات الأخيرة في منطقة البحر الأحمر، مؤكدة ضرورة تجنب أي تصعيد أو تهديدات من شأنها تأزيم الأوضاع وتعريض حرية الملاحة للخطر. وأكدت وزارة الخارجية العُمانية أن مسقط تنسق حالياً مع المملكة العربية السعودية والأطراف اليمنية والمبعوث الأممي الخاص إلى اليمن، بهدف استئناف المسار السياسي وتنفيذ خريطة الطريق، بما يسهم في تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today (Thursday) the Kingdom of Bahrain's condemnation and strong denunciation of the Houthi attack that targeted a ship belonging to a Saudi company while it was sailing in the Red Sea, which resulted in a fire breaking out at the bow of the ship without any injuries.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry stated that the attack constitutes a "flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and a serious threat to maritime navigation security, international trade safety, and energy supplies," affirming Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability, and vital interests.

It renewed its call to the international community, especially the Security Council, to "assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these terrorist attacks and taking deterrent measures to protect the security and safety of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and other vital waterways, and to hold those responsible for the attacks accountable, in order to preserve regional and global security and stability."

For its part, the Sultanate of Oman expressed its deep concern over the recent developments in the Red Sea region, emphasizing the necessity of avoiding any escalation or threats that could exacerbate the situation and endanger the freedom of navigation. The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Muscat is currently coordinating with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties, and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, with the aim of resuming the political track and implementing the roadmap, which contributes to achieving security and stability in the region.
