أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي، اغتيال رئيس استخبارات البحرية الإيرانية بهنام رضائي، اليوم (الخميس)، بعد ساعات من تأكيده مقتل قائد القوات البحرية الأدميرال علي رضا تنكسيري خلال غارات على بندر عباس جنوب إيران، وفق ما نقلت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.

الحرب البرية أكثر خطورة

من جانبه، هدد قائد القوات البرية في الجيش الإيراني الجنرال علي جهانشاهي، من أن أي تدخل عسكري أمريكي في بلاده سيكلف الولايات المتحدة ثمناً باهظاً، بعد معلومات عن خيارات أمريكية باستخدام قوات برية.

وشدد في تصريحات اليوم، على أن الحرب البرية ستكون أكثر خطورة وتكلفة، لافتاً إلى أن إيران تقوم بمراقبة جميع التحركات على الحدود، وهي على أهبة الاستعداد لأي سيناريو، وفقاً لما أوردته شبكة CNN.

خيارات عدة أمام البنتاغون

وكانت مصادر أمريكية مطلعة، كشفت أن التصعيد العسكري ضد طهران قد يتزايد بشكل كبير إذا لم يتم إحراز أي تقدم في المحادثات، لافتة إلى أن العمليات العسكرية قد تتزايد إذا بقي مضيق هرمز مغلقاً من قبل الجانب الإيراني، وفق ما نقل موقع أكسيوس (الخميس).

وأكدت المصادر أن خيارات البنتاغون قد تشمل استخدام القوات البرية وحملة قصف واسعة النطاق على مختلف الأراضي الإيرانية، فضلاً عن الاستيلاء أو حصار جزيرة خارك. وأفادت بأن البنتاغون يستعد لتطوير خيارات عسكرية بهدف توجيه ضربة قاضية لإيران.

تصرفات غريبة ومتناقضة

من جانبه، اعتبر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أن المفاوضين الإيرانيين يتصرفون بشكل «غريب ومتناقض»، لافتاً إلى أنهم يسعون لإبرام اتفاق، رغم تصريحاتهم العلنية التي تفيد بأنهم ما زالوا يدرسون المقترحات الأمريكية.

وأضاف عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال»، أن إيران، تعرضت لضربات عسكرية قاسية ولا تملك فرصة للعودة، داعياً طهران إلى التعامل بجدية مع المفاوضات.

وحذر الرئيس الأمريكي إيران من أن «الوقت ينفد»، مشيراً إلى أن عدم التوصل إلى اتفاق قريباً قد يؤدي إلى تصعيد لا يمكن التراجع عنه، وفق كلامه. ورأى أن على المفاوضين الإيرانيين أن يأخذوا الأمر على محمل الجد قبل فوات الأوان، مضيفاً: «إنهم يتوسلوننا لإبرام اتفاق».

بالمقابل، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم، رصد إطلاق صواريخ من إيران، مشدداً على أن مهمته إضعاف قدرات إيران بشكل أكبر، وأكد أنه لا يزال هناك العديد من الأهداف في إيران.

The Israeli army announced the assassination of the head of Iranian naval intelligence, Behnam Rezaei, today (Thursday), just hours after confirming the death of the commander of the naval forces, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, during airstrikes on Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, according to Israeli media reports.

Ground War More Dangerous

For his part, the commander of the Iranian army's ground forces, General Ali Jahanshahi, threatened that any U.S. military intervention in his country would cost the United States a heavy price, following information about U.S. options to use ground forces.

He emphasized in statements today that the ground war would be more dangerous and costly, noting that Iran is monitoring all movements on its borders and is on high alert for any scenario, according to CNN.

Several Options for the Pentagon

U.S. sources revealed that military escalation against Tehran could significantly increase if no progress is made in the negotiations, pointing out that military operations may escalate if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed by the Iranian side, according to Axios (Thursday).

The sources confirmed that Pentagon options may include the use of ground forces and a wide-ranging bombing campaign across various Iranian territories, as well as the seizure or blockade of Khark Island. They reported that the Pentagon is preparing to develop military options aimed at delivering a decisive blow to Iran.

Strange and Contradictory Actions

For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump considered that the Iranian negotiators are acting in a "strange and contradictory" manner, noting that they are seeking to reach an agreement despite their public statements indicating that they are still considering the U.S. proposals.

He added via his platform "Truth Social" that Iran has suffered severe military strikes and has no chance of returning, urging Tehran to take the negotiations seriously.

The U.S. President warned Iran that "time is running out," indicating that failure to reach an agreement soon could lead to an irreversible escalation, according to his remarks. He believed that the Iranian negotiators should take the matter seriously before it is too late, adding: "They are begging us to reach an agreement."

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced today that it has detected missile launches from Iran, emphasizing that its mission is to further weaken Iran's capabilities, and confirmed that there are still many targets in Iran.
