شهدت منطقة الزاوية الحمراء بالعاصمة المصرية (القاهرة) حادثاً مأساوياً، عقب اندلاع حريق هائل داخل أحد مصانع الأحذية، أسفر عن مصرع 7 فتيات وتم نقل الجثامين إلى المستشفى.
وتمكن رجال الحماية المدنية من السيطرة على النيران التي استمرت لأكثر من 4 ساعات متواصلة، وسط دوى انفجارات داخلية لمواد اللصق والجلود، لتتكشف الفاجعة التي كان يخشاها الجميع؛ 7 جثامين لفتيات في مقتبل العمر عُثر عليهن في حالة تفحم كامل خلف الأبواب، داخل المصنع.
وأمرت النيابة العامة بتشكيل لجنة هندسية وفنية وإدارية من محافظة القاهرة لمعاينة الموقع، والتأكد من تضرر المباني المجاورة للمصنع جراء الحريق من عدمه، إضافة إلى الاستعلام من الحى التابع له المصنع عن مدى قانونية وسلامة الأوراق الخاصة بالمصنع، وإعداد تقرير مفصل وإرساله لها. كما أمرت النيابة بانتداب رجال المعمل الجنائي لمعاينة الموقع، وإعداد تقرير مفصل للوقوف على أسباب الحريق الحقيقية، والتأكد من وجود شبهة جنائية في الواقعة من عدمه، وطلبت تحريات المباحث الجنائية في الواقعة.
وكانت غرفة عمليات النجدة، قد تلقت بلاغاً يفيد باندلاع حريق داخل مصنع فى الزاوية الحمراء، وعلى الفور انتقل رجال الحماية المدنية مصحوبين بعدد من سيارات الإطفاء تبعتها سيارات أخرى وتمت السيطرة على الحريق، واستمع رجال المباحث بمديرية أمن القاهرة لأقوال شهود العيان لكشف ملابسات الواقعة، وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة.

Additionally, they requested information from the local authority regarding the legality and safety of the factory's documents, and to prepare a detailed report and send it to them.
