قتل جندي فرنسي وأصيب 6 آخرون في هجوم بطائرة مسيرة في كردستان العراق، وصفه الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون بأنه غير مقبول وغير مبرر.
وكان الجنود يقدمون تدريبات لمكافحة الإرهاب في المنطقة ضمن تحالف دولي يحارب تنظيم داعش الإرهابي، وتعرضوا للهجوم أمس (الخميس) بعد ساعات فقط من استهداف قاعدة إيطالية في المنطقة نفسها. وتم الكشف عن اسم الضابط المتوفى، وهو أرنو فريون.
وقال ماكرون في منشور على «إكس»، خلال الليل: «هذا الهجوم ضد قواتنا المشاركة في القتال ضد تنظيم داعش منذ عام 2015 أمر غير مقبول»، مؤكدا مقتل أحد الضباط. وأضاف أن وجودهم في العراق هو في إطار مكافحة الإرهاب حصرا.
ويعد هذا الهجوم أحدث مؤشر على حدوث تصعيد في المنطقة بعد 13 يوما من بدء الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل غارات جوية على إيران ورد طهران بضرب أهداف في دول مختلفة بالمنطقة.
وقال الكولونيل فرانسوا-كزافييه دو لا شيناي للصحفيين، إن أرنو فريون (42 عاما) قُتل «بضربة نفّذتها مسيّرة من طراز شاهد على الموقع، حيث كان موجودا» في منطقة إربيل.
وأفادت مصادر أمنية عراقية ومصدران مقربان من الفصائل المسلحة، بأن المسلحين في العراق كثفوا وتيرة هجماتهم بالطائرات المسيرة والصواريخ على المصالح الأمريكية في العراق خلال الأيام الثلاثة أو الأربعة الماضية.
وأعلنت إحدى الجماعات مسؤوليتها عن الهجوم، قائلة إنه رد على إرسال فرنسا حاملة طائراتها إلى المنطقة، وإن الأصول الفرنسية في المنطقة أهداف مشروعة.
وأعلن مسؤولون أن الحكومة الفرنسية ستعقد اجتماعا لمجلس الوزراء الدفاعي في وقت لاحق من اليوم لمناقشة الوضع وإمكانية الرد. وقال محافظ أربيل أوميد خوشناو في بيان إن الهجوم بالطائرة المسيرة وقع في منطقة مخمور.

Iraqi security sources and two sources close to the armed factions reported that militants in Iraq have intensified their drone and rocket attacks on American interests in Iraq over the past three or four days.
One group claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was in response to France sending its aircraft carrier to the region, and that French assets in the area are legitimate targets.
Officials announced that the French government would hold a defense council meeting later today to discuss the situation and the possibility of a response. Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw stated in a statement that the drone attack occurred in the Makhmour area.
