عندما حاول السائق تشغيل المحرك، اكتشف اختفاء المفتاح تماماً. وأظهرت لقطات صادمة طاقم الإسعاف وعدد من الجيران وهم يبحثون بشكل هستيري في الشارع ومحيط السيارة، بينما كان المسعفون يحاولون إنعاش المريض يدوياً داخل السيارة التي لم تتحرك من مكانها. وبسبب هذا «الخطأ التافه»، تأخر نقل المريض لمدة 40 دقيقة حتى وصول سيارة بديلة، وهو وقت كان كافياً لتوقف قلب محمد كبير للأبد.
وبعد وقوع الوفاة، كشفت التحقيقات مفاجأة فجرت غضب عائلة الضحية، حيث عُثر على المفتاح المفقود داخل البطانية التي كان الرجل ملفوفاً بها أثناء نقله من شقته. ويبدو أن المفتاح سقط من أحد المسعفين دون انتباه، ليبقى المريض والمنقذون يبحثون عن «طوق النجاة» وهو تحت جسد المريض نفسه!

The tragedy began when Turkish citizen Mohammed Kabir (51 years old) suffered a severe heart attack inside his home. After receiving the alert, the ambulance arrived in record time, and the paramedics successfully transported the patient and placed him inside the vehicle in preparation for departure to the hospital to save his life, but the "deadly surprise" awaited them behind the steering wheel.
When the driver attempted to start the engine, he discovered that the key was completely missing. Shocking footage showed the ambulance crew and several neighbors searching frantically in the street and around the vehicle, while the paramedics tried to manually revive the patient inside the vehicle, which had not moved from its spot. Due to this "trivial mistake," the transfer of the patient was delayed for 40 minutes until a replacement vehicle arrived, a time that was enough for Mohammed Kabir's heart to stop forever.
After the death occurred, investigations revealed a surprise that ignited the anger of the victim's family, as the missing key was found inside the blanket that the man was wrapped in during his transfer from his apartment. It appears that the key fell from one of the paramedics unnoticed, leaving the patient and the rescuers searching for the "lifeline" while it was under the patient's own body!
The victim's wife and his 12-year-old son decided to sue the ambulance crew for gross negligence, while Turkish authorities opened an extensive investigation into the incident that shocked public opinion. Angry observers questioned: how can a small piece of metal end the life of a person who was just steps away from survival?
